Serum samples were taken from 257 primates from the CRCP (62 Saguinus mystax, 12 Saguinus fuscicollis, 128 Sainiri sciureus and 55 Aotus sp.).The serum samples were tested by Indirect Haemmaglutinin Test for detecting antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii. From the 257 monkeys tested, 15 (5.83%) gave seropositive reaction. However, these 15 animals were all from the Aotus genera, what is 27.27% from the population sampled belonging to that species. The antibody liters obtained ranged from 64 to 16384. Apparently, monkeys from the Aotus genera are susceptible to get infected spontaneously with Toxoplasma
